Kiotl is a list of e-mail addresses of individuals and organizations who wish to receive notice of upcoming web on-line postings of the latest issue of Keeping It on the Land, a news letter published by the Great Lakes Commission, Great Lakes Basin Program for Soil Erosion and Sediment Control. A secondary function of the list will be to send out announcements and notices to list members on topics and events of interest to professionals and stake holders in the Great Lakes Basin who deal with issues of soil erosion and sediment control, and general water quality issues in the Great Lakes. Any interested individual or organization can request to have their e-mail address placed on the list. Any individual or organization can request to have their e-mail address removed from the list at any time.

The list will be control by the list manager, a Great Lakes Commission (GLC) staff person who has final authorization to approve or disapprove additions or deletions to the e-mail list. Only the list manager and the IT staff person for the GLC will have access to the
e-mail list. The list manager, after consultation with GLC staff management, will determine what messages, their specific content, and frequency will be transmitted to members on the e-mail list. Individual subscribers on the list will not have access to other e-mail addresses on the list nor will they be able to correspond or communicate with other members listed on the list. Non subscribers will not have access to e-mail addresses on the list nor will they be able to correspond or communicate with members listed on the list. Only the e-mail address will appear on the list, no other identifying information will be listed. The e-mail list, or any part of it, will not be shared with, or distributed to any other individual or organization.
