HABCOMM is a forum for sharing news of interest related to Harmful Algal Blooms in the Great Lakes region. Appropriate postings include the release of news reports, research announcements, policy issues or events regarding HAB.s.

This list has been created to strengthen communication links between members of the Great Lakes community who are share a common interest.  By fostering communication, this listserv intends to increase overall awareness and interest in the issue.

HABCOMM welcomes additional discussion related to relevant postings.  Members are allowed to reply to the list should they have significant questions, clarification or comments that intend to benefit the entire list. Please note that discussions relevant only to a small subset of list members should not be communicated to the entire list. Also, every submission requires that the author provide his/her contact information.

HABCOMM is a closed list. This means that only subscribers can post directly to the list. Non-member submissions are forwarded to the list owner for approval.
