This discussion seeks to facilitate communication, information sharing
and networking among those working on Great Lakes dunes, be it in
research, management, or public education. The Great Lakes dunes are
the largest collection of freshwater sand dunes in the world and dune
systems are found along the shores of all five Great Lakes. While
individual components of the Great Lakes sand dune system may be fairly
well understood, there is much to learned and much expertise to be
shared basin-wide as evidenced at the first binational Great Lakes
Dunes Conference held in 2006. The list is open to anyone interested in
topics related to the Great Lakes Sand Dunes.
